About FacilStudy

What FacilStudy does
Most students do not struggle to revise because they lack material. They struggle because every evening starts with the same question: what should I actually do tonight? FacilStudy answers that question. You photograph a set of notes — handwritten pages, a worksheet, a textbook spread — and it produces a study pack: a summary, the key concepts, flashcards and a quiz. You check the pack before anything is saved, because the AI does misread things and it is your revision, not its.
After that, the app decides the work. Today's Study picks roughly fifteen minutes across every subject at once, using flashcards that are due for review, topics scored as needing work, and how close the next test is. Each line says why it is there, so a student can disagree with it.
A student can invite one adult — a parent, a carer, a tutor — as a Study Partner. The adult signs in at facilstudy.com/partner with a six-digit code sent to their email and sees the progress the student chose to share: streak, time studied, mastery per subject, topics needing attention and upcoming tests. Never the tutor conversations, never the photographs, never individual answers. The invitation always comes from the student, and the student can revoke it.
Who builds it
FacilStudy is built by David Nunes Cuba. FacilForge is a trading name of David Nunes Cuba, a sole trader operating in the United Kingdom. FacilStudy is a product of FacilForge.
This matters for two reasons. The first is accountability: there is a named person behind the app, reachable by email, who answers support messages. The second is honesty about scale. FacilStudy is a small independent product, not a school procurement platform. It is bought by families through the App Store and Google Play, so no school has to sign anything and no student is enrolled by an institution.
Why it exists
Revision advice for GCSE and A-Level students is not in short supply — spaced repetition, active recall, retrieval practice, a timetable that works backwards from the exam. What is in short supply is a tool that applies that advice to the notes a student already has, in the fifteen minutes they will realistically give it, without asking them to build a deck or plan a timetable first. FacilStudy exists to remove the setup cost from good revision practice.
How it is funded
Subscriptions, and nothing else. The Free tier gives five scans a month, study packs, quizzes and the daily plan. Plus is £4.99 a month and adds forty scans, the exam planner, the AI tutor, marked written answers and Study Partner. Pro is £9.99 a month with 100 scans and 400 tutor messages. There is no advertising in the app, no behavioural advertising anywhere, and data is never sold. Paid plans are bought in the App Store or Google Play, where an under-18 starts the purchase and the family organiser approves it.
How it handles young people's data
FacilStudy is written to the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children's Code). In practice that means: no date of birth is stored, only an age band; no autocapture analytics and no session recording; photographs of notes are deleted 30 days after the study pack is built and are never used to train AI models; the AI tutor discusses schoolwork only and points to Childline on 0800 1111, and to 999 in an emergency, if a student seems to need a real person.

Where it is
